Ameera Ali, MACP, RCC
Ameera Ali is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC #21725) who completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from Simon Fraser University.
Ameera’s passion for counselling is rooted in the growing need for accessible, culturally responsive mental health support and reducing the stigma surrounding therapy - particularly in communities where seeking help has often been viewed as taboo. She is committed to creating a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported in exploring their experiences and strengths.
Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in person-centred, CBT, Solution-Focused, and parts-based approaches. Ameera works alongside her clients to help them better understand their patterns, reconnect with their values, and build practical strategies for navigating life’s challenges. She believes therapy should be both compassionate and actionable, supporting insight while also fostering meaningful, sustainable change.
Before and during her clinical training, Ameera gained experience in supervised clinical and supportive settings working with adolescents and adults navigating stress, anxiety, and life transitions. These experiences strengthened her skills in active listening, collaborative goal-setting, and providing practical, strengths-based support. They also continue to inform her client-centred and culturally responsive practice.
Ameera believes that everyone deserves access to support and that therapy can be a transformative step toward healing, growth, and self-understanding. She welcomes individuals who may be new to counselling as well as those returning to therapy, and is honoured to walk alongside clients as they move toward greater clarity, balance, and well-being.
In her spare time, Ameera enjoys reading, painting, catching up on all the latest shows and movies, and spending time with family.
